Description

The TeSys LRD thermal overload relay is rated at 18A/690V and offers a thermal setting range of 12-18A, with a tripping class of 10A. It is specifically designed to protect 3-phase motors up to 7.5kW at 400V. The relay incorporates a differential device that detects phase failure and load imbalance, ensuring reliable motor protection.
For ease of use, the relay features a thermal adjustment dial and a manual-automatic reset selector. It also includes a test selector for simulating tripping events, along with reset and stop buttons, a flag indicator, and two auxiliary contacts (1NO+1NC) for fault signaling. The settings are securely protected by a transparent, lockable cover that can be sealed for added safety.
Connection to the relay is facilitated by EverLink BTR screw terminals, which allow for direct connection to the bottom terminals of 3-pole contactors LC1D40A-D80A. The relay can be mounted on a DIN rail or screw-fixed, separately from the contactor, using a terminal block (LAD96560, sold separately).
